The IKEA Monkey

My monkey wearing my
 IKEA (prison?) uniform
A coat-wearing monkey has become an internet celebrity - and triggered an animal welfare investigation - after being found wandering in a Canadian furniture store car park.
Stylish IKEA Monkey Goes Viral
Turns out it was just one of IKEA's new employees
who found out the wages IKEA pay are peanuts.
Unfortunately there were no buses running by the time he had busked enough money together by singing ABBA daba songs to raise his bus-fare back to the zoo.
Turned out OK in the end though.
Here he is on a warm bus heading home to the relative luxury of the zoo where the peanuts aren't so stale.
Asked if he enjoyed working for IKEA the monkey replied
"I may work for peanuts, but I don't have a screw loose";-)
A real life IKEA monkey
working for peanuts ;-)
The tragedy was that even though Darwin the monkey had some great escaping abilities, like busting out of his cage and getting out of a locked car, he bit off more than he could chew trying to escape this maze -
An IKEA co-worker said that the only real animals seen around the IKEA store apart from the meatballs are usually deer.
I have "no eye-deer" what
this cartoon's about ;-)
When the monkey's owner was found and asked why the monkey was wearing diapers and wandering around an IKEA store, Mr. Barnum's only reply was -
Oh no, sounds like another IKEA tragic news story is breaking at one of their other stores -
