Wheel of Fortune?

The pilot can be seen in the plane that
 crashed into a Ferris wheel
This accident happened in 2011, but it never falls to amaze me just how lucky all involved were to escape death, or a major injury.
" A student pilot who crashed an ultralight plane into a Ferris wheel in NSW should not have been at the controls, and the amusement ride should not have been positioned so close to an airstrip, an investigation has found.
Photos of the October 2011 incident show the badly-damaged
Sierra 200 aircraft, with missing nose and torn wings, tangled midair in the framework of the Ferris wheel.
Both the 53-year-old pilot and 32-year-old passenger escaped serious injury and four people - including young teenagers - riding the Ferris wheel weren't hurt.
During a second attempt at landing at Old Bar airstrip on the NSW mid-north coast, the pilot felt he was traveling too fast and would overshoot the runway.
So he hit the throttle to again get airborne, the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) said in its final report of the incident, released on Thursday.
The pilot then recalls hearing a loud bang.
That was the sound of the Sierra hitting the 20m tall Ferris wheel."

I think if the pilot played the Tarot Wheel of Fortune game below, he would have got the Hanged Man card for sure;-)

Tarot Wheel of Fortune

12 The Hanged Man
Circumstances literally turn a situation on its head, and there will be
a temporary suspension of progress while it is resolved.

If personal sacrifices are made, something greater can be gained.
A transformation may come about.

  1. What a bizarre story! How fortunate that no one was seriously injured or killed. I've never seen this tarot wheel of fortune, but the hanged man sure fits!
