2024 and a Happy New Year?🎉🥳

Just over an hour to go until midnight and 2024 here in Queensland, Australia ... or less than an hour if you are in New South Wales, Victoria, the ACT or Tasmania.
But it's hard to feel optimistic about the coming year to me.
I just have that rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic feeling as I head into 2024 for some reason.
Plus, I bought an assemble yourself 2024 banner by mistake, which I can't be bothered to string together, so it can sit on my dining room table instead of hang on the wall.
It feels like 50 seconds to midnight here and not in a good way.
Maybe because it's storming here right now and I'm expecting the power to go out before I can watch the fireworks from Sydney Harbour at midnight Queensland time, which is 1 o'clock and 2024 New South Wales time.
And I still haven't worked out my New Year's resolution yet.
Anyway, cheers for when it chimes midnight in your part of the world ... and try not to go full Titanic ... or The Full Monty🍾🥂
Probably just Much Ado About Nothing anyway, right;-)
Tom Wilkinson Passes Away in the Year of the Rabbit?🕳🐇

UPDATE: January 1st, 2024
My sister gave me a bottle of 'Jacob's Creek' sparkling wine that someone had given her, as she doesn't like drinking sparkling wine (AKA Champagne), so I decided to go with the flow and open it at midnight on NYE 24 and it was the worst sparkling wine I have ever tasted on any NYE in my life.
It should be relabeled "Shit Creek" IMO.
I was just taking small sips of the wine while watching TV and as I was on my second glass, I fell asleep and tipped the wine over my flamingo PJ pants.
So, I don't know if this was a sign from the universe that I should or shouldn't go to Singapore this year -
Just Flamin' Go?🔥🦩
I had to change into my spare pineapple PJ pants to go to bed:-)
More Pop Cultural Pineapples?🍍
Goodbye 2023
Hello 2024?
Ironically, I replaced my sister's 2023 calendar she gave me last year as a Christmas present with one I bought for myself at a local newsagent.
This 2024 calendar features the Serenity Prayer:-P
December: Time to Start Thinking About Getting New 2024 Calendars?📅🗓🎄🍾
I should also mention that a few days before the New Year my laminated dragon poster fell off my wall crashing to the floor and scared the s#it out of me when I was working at my computer.
And while 2024 is technically the Year of the Dragon, that year doesn't start until the new moon in February, 2024.
It's still the Year of the Rabbit until then.

Tom Wilkinson Passes Away in the Year of the Rabbit?🕳🐇

I had only just watched the 1999 movie 'Molokia' starring Tom Wilkinson this week and now I see in the news that Tom passed away yesterday/today.
And Tom passed away on the same day I saw 'Anyone But You' at the cinema:-(
I guess the only thing worse than going 'The Full Monty' is going the "Full Titanic"?-)

The Life and Times of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and His Beliefs?🔍

I've been reading and watching a fair bit of the Sherlock Holmes stories lately, but it's the author of these stories Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and his life story which I really find fascinating and have been reading up on.

Richard Dolan: AI is a Runaway Train "Alexa"?🤖🚆

Dick keeps calling Alexis "Alexa"
 throughout the podcast:-)
Last night before going to bed I did a search through
Apple Podcasts for podcast episodes that Richard Dolan had been on recently, by keying his name into the search bar, and one of the most recent was his appearance on Alexis Brooks' 'Higher Journeys' podcast where he talks about AI to Alexis, but comically keeps calling her "Alexa", which is the name of Amazon's AI:-P
AI vs Human Mind?🤖🧠
Richard Dolan: Connecting the Dots on A.I.,
Ethics, and
The Extraterrestrial Connection
The Alexa App
Was $Rich$ just having a Joe Biden moment, or did he really think Alexis' name was really "Alexa"?-)
I even found a podcast episode of a bloke named Steven Cambian who hosts a show called 'Truthseekers' who thinks Richard should spell his name as $Rich$:-)
$teven may just have a point there?-)
There was also an Alexis Brooks'Higher Journeys' podcast episode featuring Richard Dolan's wife Tracey talking about the mind.

The "UFO community" seems to be just one big s#itshow and fights, when it comes to BS (Belief Systems) iThink:-)
It all kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth, so maybe it's time to brush my teeth after listening to these UFO podcasts featured in this post?-)

Why The Numbers Don’t Lie -
 A Conversation with King Simon
and
Alexis Brooks
I gave up listening to 'Higher Journeys' many months ago, because Alexis interviews too many nuts for my liking, but some of those interviews can be amusing.
Not that I'm saying that King Simon is nuts, or not, I just had to listen to this podcast about numerology, because I saw on my iPad that this episode was uploaded on December 16th -

A King in New York and a Spare in California? ♔♚

I watched Charlie Chaplin's movie 'A King in New York' last night and couldn't help thinking of Prince Harry living in America and turning to commercial ventures to make a living.
And I liked how the king was living in room number 23 in that movie;-)
I had never watched ... or even heard of this movie, until I saw the movie was leaving the SBS OnDemand streaming service yesterday.
And the irony was that after watching it I saw that I had only 38 minutes to SPARE;-)

Lee Sun-kyun from the Movie Parasite Was Born in and Dies in the Year of the Rabbit?🕳🐇

"South Korean
actor Lee Sun-kyun of the Oscar-winning film Parasite has been found dead by authorities following up a report that he had gone missing, according to an official.
Lee, 48, who played the head of a wealthy household in the film, had faced investigation over accusations of illegal drug use amid a government crackdown in which police questioned him three times, with one session running 19 hours over the weekend."
Tragic news.

Molokai: The Story of Father Damien/The White Lotus?𐩕

Well, timing is everything when it comes to life, it seems?
I was reading Kate Ceberano's new book 'Unsung' yesterday, which was a Christmas present from my youngest son, because we both had tickets to Kate's book launch at the Avid Reader bookstore a few weeks ago, but he got sick on the day of the talk and opted out of going.
I still went through, and he gave me the book early so I could get it signed by Kate on the night.
My POV at Kate's Avid Reader book talk
As I was reading the book yesterday, I read in the chapter titled 'Earth & Sky' about her starring in Paul Cox's 1999 movie 'Molokai: The Story of Father Damien' starring David Wenham as Father Damien.
I had never seen the movie, even though it's been on my watch list since I attended a talk of Paul's when he was alive and he talked about the making of the movie, as it is a hard movie to find on streaming services or the internet.
But I found it yesterday on You Tube and sat through a billion ads and watched it.
Here it is below, so hurry before it gets pulled from the net.
David Wenham plays the bad guy in Baz's movie/series 'Australia/Faraway Downs' ... and let's not forget that Nicole Kidman was born in Hawaii, not Australia;-) -
Faraway Downs/Australia?🌏🐮🤠
Released on St.Patrick's Day, 1999?
'Molokai: The Story of Father Damien' is probably the best Paul Cox movie I have seen now and is almost the exact opposite of 'The White Lotus' season 1 storyline, which also is set in Hawaii -
On Borrowed Time
Mysterious Monkeys (The White Lotus)
I also binged watched the first season of 'The White Lotus' over the last two days, as I hadn't seen anything starring Sydney Sweeney until now, and me and my son are going to watch her latest movie 'Anyone But You' at the cinema this week, because Bryan Brown is in it -
The Drowning ... Just Keep Swimming?🏊🦈
The main reason I went to Kate's talk and bought her book was I saw her concert when I was staying at the
same casino it was in back in 2016 -
The APIA Tour: Rules Are Made to Be Broken ... or, What Would Jesus Do?-)
I also thought it was strange that of all the songs Kate was trying to recall at the Avid Reader book talk was a song I wrote about which was on my mind while traveling through Tasmania in 2016 -
The Windmills of My Mind

UPDATE: January 4th, 2024
And 'Molokia' was released in 1999, the Year of the Rabbit -
