What is it with Dentists and Capturing/Killing Exotic Species?

Walter James Palmer does nothing to halt the stereotype associated with cruelty and dentists being synonymous in this latest news story doing the rounds in social media.

I can't help but think of the dentist out of the movie 'The Little Shop of Horrors' played by Steve Martin and also the scene out of 'Finding Nemo' where the dentist collects exotic creatures from around the world and displays them for his patients, while he works on their teeth.
