The Monolith of the Shaman?

I was reading a book on shamanism today that stated,
"...from a shamanic perspective we could consider that there are larger processes that go beyond technical or economic ones, if you will, spiritual needs that pull the process of evolution forward rather than it being entirely pushed from behind.
In other words we could say that Spirit plays a hand in evolution by having an overall game-plan that it supports by leading from the so called future."

Which got me to thinking that Kubrick was a shaman of the modern age by presenting his visions to us on to the scrying game's 2-D monolith.
And as Alan Green has said before, how many pocket monoliths are being carried around now personally, with advanced primates touching them everyday in a quest for more knowledge?
The monolith is almost the perfect icon of modern day shamanism.
A slice of the void from which all things emanate.

I was forced into having an iPhone and in retrospect, I'm glad I was made to do it! I love it. I worship at its altar every day!
