the state of mind, body and spirit that rejects solitude, fear and abandonment and re-establishes sacred connection to Spirit, the Earth Mother and 'the people'.
The white buffalo symbolizes hope and renewal, harmony among all people and a joining of all races of man so that we may walk together, united as"a people'."

Nice music and an interesting concept. Who's to say it isn't true?!
ReplyDeleteI see it as more symbolic than actual, like a symbol from the collective unconscious, like the beetle that appeared to Jung...but who really knows ?
ReplyDeleteSymbolic sure works. Jung's scarab beetle, white feathers, doves...why not buffalos?!
ReplyDeleteOh dear. Is this the end of hope? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2139875/Sheriff-investigates-rare-white-buffalo-calf-dead-Texan-ranch-mother-mysteriously-died-day.html

ReplyDeleteI had not heard of this story before.
It just goes to show that there is a small group of people who don't want peace at any price,so in a way it is pretty symbolic that this story comes to the surface (through this post and your comment) on Black Friday the 13th and two days after 9/11 and approaching the 13th anniversary of that event in the following year.
Interesting also was the name - " Authorities are investigating the suspicious death of the buffalo, named Lightning Medicine Cloud..."
Maybe this act means there may be a storm coming instead ?
Let's HOPE not ?
Like Springsteen sings in the song "Nebraska","They wanted to know why I did what I did
Well sir I guess there's just a meanness in this world."
