Synchromysticism

" Synchromysticism:
The art of realizing meaningful coincidence in the seemingly mundane with mystical or esoteric significance."

Life Begins At 40, December 21st 2012?

Begins December 21st, 2012
The guys over at The Sync Whole have an interesting post going about actors born on December 21st, Thin Red Lines, Jack, and movies coming out on December 21st 2012.
THIS IS 40 is released December 21st 2012 in The States, but not until Jan 17th in Oz.
Checkout Jake's previous post at The Sync Whole too, called
You Don't Know Jack.
But I have a few interesting links of my own to throw in.

Megan Fox

My links involve a few foxes.
Megan Fox, Jamie Foxx and Matthew Fox to be specific.
Megan Fox is one of the main actresses in This Is 40.
You can see her in the second trailer of the film in the above
You Tube.
Jamie Foxx starred in Collateral with Tom Cruise.
Collateral was directed by Micheal Mann who also directed
Jamie Foxx in the movie version of Miami Vice
Mann was also the guy behind the hit TV show of the same name starring Don Johnson.
My friends over at Synchrosecrets have just re-released their book
The Making Of Miami Vice on Kindle.
The MacGregor's also have a chapter in SYNC Book 2, which is out now.
Soon to be released is the movie Django Unchained
starring both Jamie Foxx and Don Johnson and December 21st birthday boy Samuel L. JACKson and Leonardo DiCaprio, who is starring as Jay Gatsby in F. Scott Fitzgerald's
(who died on December 21st, 1940, in Hollywood) story which is being filmed again by Baz Luhrmann.
Leo also plays Jack Dawson in Titanic, as if I had to tell anyone.
Mann also produced Leo's The Aviator which was directed by
Martin Scorsese of Taxi Driver fame.
Let's not forget Cruise played Jack in the movie Legend, as well.
Matthew Fox played Jack Shephard in the TV series Lost.
He also played Red Dawson to Matthew McConaughey's
Jack Lengyel in the movie We Are Marshall,
which was released December 22nd of that year.
Matthew Fox also plays Racer X in the Wachowski's  Speed Racer, which is interesting because that's the last letter of his name, Fox
In Jamie Foxx's case the the last two letters, or a double X.
Interesting that Samuel L. Jackson has just signed up for
XXX: The Return of Xander Cage.

Matthew Fox also plays Picasso in the new movie Alex Cross.
Plus he is also in Brad Pitt's new zombie movie World War Z, which I wrote about in this post -
World War (O)Z?
and as Jake points out over at The Sync Whole, Brad plays
Jackie Cogan in Killing Them Softly, which opens this weekend in The States.
"This upside-down SA looks like 42 in the
reflection of this washroom sink faucet at work."
Jake posted the above Twitpic
 http://twitpic.com/bghgzj
yesterday and I responded with this comment regarding Jake's
(or is it Jack, now?) Twitpic of the 42 in the mirror with the word crane -
"This upside down SA looks like 42 in the reflection of this washroom sink faucet at work."

Check out Tom driving this crane -
They are 40-foot containers that he is unloading.
I joked in the same comment -
If you asked how long in feet that container is?
Tom might say "This is 40" ;-)
Let's not forget that the other cop from the Miami Vice movie was in Minority Report with Cruise, as well.
One more actor born on December 21st is Jackson Rathbone and he is starring in a new movie called

Live at the Foxes Den

Live at the Foxes Den starring
Jackson Rathbone and Jack Holmes.

Jack Holmes is an actor, playwright, screenwriter, composer and pianist. He is the author of the solo play "RFK" in which he portrayed the late Robert F. Kennedy (Jack's brother).

This is an ad of Jack Kennedy from
the same
Megan Fox magazine above.
Also in that same magazine was an article on page 111 about
Hugh Jackman who was 40 at the time.
111 just happens to be the number of my old work locker, too.
Jackson Rathbone's mother's name is Monroe, and what does
Megan Fox have tattooed on her forearm?
Oh, this feature on page 140 of the same magazine reminded me of an actor named Jack Nance who was also born on December 21st but is no longer with us.
He was the guy in Twin Peaks who finds the body of Laura Palmer wrapped in plastic.
Jack Nance was also in the 1988 re-make of The Blob, which is what Jake Kotze's blog is named after, as well.
The Blob (Jake's blog).
Jack Nance
Notice that You Tube goes for 42 seconds?
But I'm sure everything above is just all coincidence, right
One-eyed Jack's sign from the TV show Twin Peaks.

  2. Wow, I had no idea! Thanks very much for the mention, Daz. It does seem that a lot of stuff is stacking up quickly toward 12/21/12. Hmmm. I suspect we all should stay tuned for even more synchros.

  4. It's funny I bought that issue in the winter (Australia) of 2009 and threw it aside to read later and only found it again a week ago still unread, while de-cluttering my room.
But oddly enough it synchronistically it probably wouldn't have meant much to me if I had of read it when I bought it.
It all lined up with Jake's post on Megan Fox's new movie that comes out on December 21st,2012 - "This Is 40".
