Red Dog/Synchronicity

My autographed copy of Red Dog
I wrote about my Red Dog syncs in this post
Red Dog and the Sacred Kingfisher/Tree/Owl Synchronicity
last year after reading the book that I bought from the
Byron Bay Writers Festival, which was signed by
The book was made into one of the highest grossing Australian films ever by director Kriv Stenders.
Well guess what Kriv Stenders next film will be called?
Synchronicity!
(That's Kriv directing Koko [Red Dog] in the second You Tube)
Synchronicity, which is written by Marissa Goodhill, produced by Leesa Kahn and Catriona Hughes and has Kriv Stenders attached as director, is a musical set to the songs of Kylie Minogue
It follows 17-year-old Kylie Power as she is given one last chance to pursue her dream of being a synchronised swimmer.
Synchronicity???

  2. I love that you got a signed copy of this book! It says "To Daz" and everything! I've been studying the handwriting style using the combined knowledge of the Internet (yeah Google): "writers with tall, thin handwriting tend to be aspirational and have aesthetic or philosophical tendencies." Does this sound like Louis?

    1. Yes.
As well as writing, he plays the flute, mandolin, clarinet and guitar
      (I don't know about the uke,though.-).
      He wrote "Captain Corelli's Mandolin"
(not that I've read it,I've only read "Red Dog"...
      I used a lot red sounding words in that sentence,didn't I ?-)
I didn't really like the movie of
"Captain Corelli's Mandolin" with Nick Cage
(and neither did Louis...or so he told me)
but I would like to read some of his other books, when I get the chance.
I loved Red Dog...movie and book.
And he loved the movie,too...or so he told me.
The dog that played Red Dog in the film (Koko)was at the Writer's festival, but I missed out.
I didn't know until I read it in the paper the next day.I must have just caught Louis at the signing tent as he had finished appearing with the dog and director of the movie.
It was fun talking to him,one on one, with no one much around to bug us.
That's what I love about the Writer's Festival,it's so laid back.
It must be the magic of Byron Bay .-)

    1. The kingfisher has proved a significant sign for me Foxi. The little bird that started me writing about synconicity was a 'Sacred Kingfisher'.
I have never seen a live one since that day.
See the second post in the sidebar under
" Most Popular Posts in Order of Views " called
"The Bird That Flew into the Window".
They are the actual photos I took of the little stunned bird.
My life has just gotten weirder from that moment on.

  4. I see that Red Dog was released in the UK in February but only in 56 cinemas and, unfortunately, didn't do too well. Must see if its on DVD, the trailer looks okay.
