How to Celebrate National Hotel Employee Day? π¨π±π©π₯³
I might have to watch 'Home Alone 2' tonight?-)August 25th, 2026, is the 237th Day of the Year?π±πΉπ
Snakes and Dreaming?ππ΄ππ
July 16th was 'World Snake Day' and was the day I visited Fremantle and Cottesloe Beach, the beach where Heath Ledger's wake was held.
Funnily enough, I'm now reading C.G. Jung's book about dreams, having read and given that stupid 'Awaken the Dreamscape' book to a street library, where the "Christian" author of that book went on about visiting Western Australia and was horrified to learn that Indigenous Australians "worship" the dreaming serpent:-)
That West Coast Eagles jersey with the serpent at the top of this post is the Indigenous round jersey from one of the years that I bought in a secondhand clothing store that I volunteer in.
I've since re-donated that WCE serpent jersey back to the secondhand clothing store for someone who wants to wear those colours.

My main reason for traveling to Perth that week was to see my AFL football team the Brisbane Lions play the local Western Australian team the West Coast Eagles, which according to Heath Ledger's Wikipedia page was his favourite football team I see.
I guess with today being 'Footy Colors Day' my visit to Perth to see the West Coast Eagles play my team in maybe a once in a lifetime trip (although I hope to return again soon) comes to mind?
I had planned in going to Perth earlier in the year to see my NRL team the SHARKS play the ROOSTERS, but my son couldn't get the time off to go, so we decided on the LIONS game in July instead.

I had to watch the SHARKS lose that game in Perth from my home in Brisbane, which I wrote about in this post -

I never wore it, because it's not the team I support, but I hung it up in my bedroom to remind me to visit the first Hungry Jack's burger joint ever opened in Australia when I was in Perth, which I did -

According to "The Dream Bible" in my bookcase, "sometimes we see eagles with serpents in their tallons" in dreams, so I find it quite ironic that the West Coast Eagles would have a serpent on one of their Indigenous round jerseys:-)
I must say that I don't have much faith in any "Dream Bible", be it a Christian or Pagan one:-)| Is that a flying horse or a night-mare? |
