Synchromysticism

" Synchromysticism:
The art of realizing meaningful coincidence in the seemingly mundane with mystical or esoteric significance."

How to Celebrate January 19th, 2026?💙🍿

I noticed that there were a few
Brew Days today, so I thought I would put the above podcast into this post.

237 Witchcraft For Creativity, Embodying
The Magician, And Spirit’s Synchronicities
with Pam Grossman
I listened to this podcast above recently when doing an Apple Podcast search for "Synchronicities" and being a big Kubrick fan, episode 237 caught my attention and I just had to give it a listen, even though I'm not one for listening to "magic" podcasts.
I'm also a big David Lynch fan, and I noticed that his book 'Catching the Big Fish' was mentioned in the show notes at the Apple Podcast site, before I gave it a listen to.

Buddy Guy Has a Starring Role in Sinners? 🎥🎸🎬

When I saw the trailer to 'Sinners' last year before a few cinema screenings of movies that I thought were worth watching at the cinema, this trailer bored me to death, and I vowed that I wouldn't be going to the cinema to watch this movie.
I thought I might watch it when it hit a steaming service that I was subscribed to at the time.
Then my son told me had seen it at the cinema and it was just like 'From Dusk Till Dawn' to him.
And I hate that movie, so that put me off seeing 'Sinners' even more.
When I saw it was on HBO, which I had just subscribed to, I wondered if I should bother watching 'Sinners', since it wasn't going to cost me anything but my time?
Then I heard Gordon White on an Aeon Byte podcast/You Tube recommend watching it, although most of everything he said apart from that on the podcast was just conspiracy crap and his own BS beliefs.
I mentioned that podcast episode that Gordon was on in this recent post -
How to Celebrate January 10th, 2026?🍉🥳🎉🦪
But he was right about watching 'Sinners'.
I thought it was a good movie ... but not a great movie.
Although, I don't see any movies that I have seen nominated in this year's Oscars that are great movies anyway.
I had already seen the new 'Naked Gun' movie, and Gordon was right about that recommendation, as well, I thought.
Surrendering to Synchronicities?💻🙇🙅
Buddy Guy on stage at Bluesfest 2012
The thing that blew my mind the most when I saw
'Sinners' was seeing that Buddy Guy was in it.
I had to check the credits to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me, but the first shot I saw of him in the movie, I yelled out "hey, that's Buddy Guy"!
Buddy Guy is one of the best musicians I have ever had the privilege to see play live over the years at the Byron Bay Bluesfest.
And I see this year in July Buddy will be turning 90!?
I saw him first play in 2012 when he was 75 years old, as I wrote in this 2012 post -

How to Celebrate January 18th, 2026? 🕯🧸👼⛄🏂🦆😃🍯🐝

I can't see the Chinese government getting behind 'National Winnie The Pooh Day' especially with their current leader;-)
Pooh Poo-Pooed in China?
How to Celebrate National Winnie The Pooh Day
I guess my blog (or this post in particular) will now get put behind the great firewall of China, if it's not already?-)
I guess the Vegans won't be celebrating a 'hunny' eating bear today, either:-)
Pooh wouldn't be seen as Vegan friendly with his
'hunny' eating ways, would he?
Film Theory: Winnie The Pooh's DEADLY Diet!
And watching that You Tube above it looks like Pooh was conceived in A.A. Milne's mind 100 years ago.
And reading Wikipedia I see Milne passed away 70 years ago this year.
Every January 18th
Today is also 'Peking Duck Day', so I can't see Vegans or Vegetarians being happy about that:-)
Sunday January 18th, 2026 -
Saturday January 24th, 2026
January 18th, is also the start of 'Hunt for Happiness Week':-)
The Spirituality of Winnie the Pooh
Third Sunday in January
Today is also 'World Religion Day', which probably won't make atheists and the
Chinese government happy either:-)
Third Sunday in January
It's also 'Feast of the Holy Child Day' today, so I'm wondering if
'hunny' is somewhere on the menu?-)
I think if Pooh ate durians instead of hunny, he would really live up to his name;-)

How to Celebrate January 16th, 2026, on January 17th, 2026? 🐉🫖🍵🌶

Every January 16th
I bought a packet of 'Spicy Fruit Rolls' earlier in the week to open on 'National Fig Newton Day' and forgot about them until this morning when making a morning coffee.
But I discovered that 'Spicy Fruit Rolls' don't contain any fig, just sultanas and currents.
I also had bought a packet of Rooibos & Vanilla tea bags to celebrate 'International Rooibos Day', as I have not tried
Rooibos tea before.
But I forgot that yesterday was
'International Rooibos Day', so I was a day late to the tea drinking party.
At the rate I drink tea I'm sure there will be tea bags in my pantry come this time next year:-)
Every January 16th
I even forgot I had bought chilli flavoured chips and put them in the back of my pantry for 'International Hot and Spicy Food Day', until today.
But I can get away with that mistake, as today (Jan 17th) was also 'National Hot Heads Chili Day':-P
Every January 17th
Although, with only an hour or two left on January 17th, as I finish writing this post up, I realize that I have a $200 Event Cinemas gift card I got from my son and his partner for Christmas that I haven't used yet and could have used today, but it's too late in the day now.
I see that today was 'Cable Car Day', which brings back not so fond memories of when me and my son hopped on a cable car in San Francisco at the traffic lights outside Grace Cathedral, to buy a ticket to ride down to Chinatown, only to be told that you couldn't buy tickets on the cable car and they told us to get off before the lights changed to green, so we walked down to Chinatown and never bothered riding the cable cars.
At least I can honestly say that I have been on one now ... even if I can't say that I have ridden on one:-)
