How to Celebrate Calan Gaeaf in 2026 the Year of the Fire Horse?🔥🐴

I haven't heard of this Welsh tradition before, even though from time-to-time Ancestry.com give me back my 2%-3% Welsh DNA after another 6 monthly review of my original DNA sample I gave them:-)
According to Ancestry.com I have about 11% Irish DNA now, as opposed to 3% from last time, although at one point I had 0%:-)
But now I have no Welsh?!

How to Celebrate Day of the Dead on Authors’ Day During National Life Writing Month?✍💀🪦🥳🎉👻

I bought this skull lolly-pop above from my local supermarket when I saw them featured in their Halloween flyer, but I thought they were better suited for the day after Halloween, so I ate one this morning before having my morning coffee.
I had just listened to a recent 'Desert Island Discs' podcast episode featuring author Matt Haig, who I have met in real life back in 2018 and wrote a few posts about -
I also own a copy of Matt's book 'The Midnight Library' I bought from an Op Shop but haven't read it yet.
The Midnight Library
Maybe now is the time to start reading it?
Thanks to Marie for the picture from her blog post

There's been a lot of water pass under the bridge since I've walked across these bridges:-)
