The Role of the (Tattoo) Artist?๐ŸŽญ๐Ÿ›ธ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿฆˆ

I recently modified
my old panther tattoo I first had done as a teenager, as a dig at my ex-wife and her family who are mad keen Brisbane Broncos supporters.
My ex-brother-in-law had gotten a panther tattoo when we were teenagers, and I thought it was so cool that I got one done a week after he did by the same tattooist.
I was going out with his sister at the time and when I showed her mother my new panther tattoo she gave me a big lecture about how she hated tattoos and that if any of her sons came home with a tattoo like that, she would kick them out of the house:-)
She didn't find out for another 6 months that he had tattoos and that his tattoo was the inspiration for my panther tattoo:-
The Broncos are my least favourite NRL team out of the lot, and ironically, they entered the NRL the year I got married in '88 when I was already a mad keen Sharks supporter.
So mad in fact that my wedding was planned out in a black, white and blue colour scheme:-)
As was my engament party the year before that.
My youngest son who is also a mad Sharks supporter offered to pay my way to Vegas to watch the Sharks play the Panthers in Round 1 of the 2025 NRL season for letting him move into the spare room in my unit rent free.
So, we're in the process of sorting that trip out now.
And since I was getting a Brisbane Lions tattoo to celebrate the Lions AFL grand final win, I decided to come good on a bet I had with a Panthers supporter friend of mine when last year I told him I would get the 2023 scoreline tattooed under my old panther tattoo if the Panthers beat the Broncos in the 2023 GF:-)
The funny thing was that the day I went to get my tattoos done I decided to park under the cinemas, as I planned on seeing a movie after I had my tattoos done, but unfortunately I was told they couldn't do my tattoos that day, as they were booked out, and that I would have to book another day/s to have them both done.
When parking my car under the cinemas that day, a car pulled out and I drove into the vacant space only to see a massive BRONCOS sticker across the back window of the car in front of me:-)

After I had booked my tattoos to be done, I bought a ticket to see
'Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice' again and a trailer for the new 'Lion King' movie came on before the movie started:-)
The Good Mourning Podcast is Back and on September 6th?๐ŸŽค๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿฆ‹
I had actually planned to only watch
'Megalopolis' that day, after thinking I would be having at least one tattoo done that day when I was heading down that way, but with time to kill it was good to have the chance to watch
'Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice' again.

My lunch at the cinema between movies:-)
I just wrote the day off as my FATE:-)
Another funny thing that happened was that when I got back to my car after watching both movies, I heard swallows chirping above me and when I looked up realized that I had parked my car under the swallows' nest, which explained the bird crap over my windscreen and roof.
Ironically the
co-captain of the Brisbane Lions, Lachie Neale has a pair of swallows tattooed on his shoulder:-)
I don't plan on getting
swallows tattooed on me, but I am considering a dragon tatt for my right forearm, as I was born in the Year of the Dragon and have now completed one 60-year cycle of the Wood Dragon.
Life is a journey and not a destination, as they (and I) say, and one of those destinations on the journey for me seems to be Las Vegas in 2025;-)
It remains unclear how the 12 ft (3.6m) shark died
A sticker and a keyring I bought at the tattoo shop the day I booked my tattoos:-)

Just wishful thinking, you say?-)
