It's the only major film directed by Peter Rodger, even though he was an assistant director on The Hunger Games.
Oh My God was made around 2009 and would have been thought provoking enough when it came out at the time, but knowing what we know now about Peter Rodger's life, the film can't be seen as anything but tragically ironic, as Peter ponders man's hatred and intolerance to fellow human beings in the name of religion, only to live through the aftermath of his own son's senseless shooting spree and suicide in 2014 -

Also included in the film is an interview with Sir Bob Geldof about whether he believes in "God", or not.
In hindsight, we know now that Bob would lose his daughter Peaches to a heroin overdose in 2014.

And of course, Bob Geldof came into fame with his song I Don't Like Mondays (a song about a girl going on a shooting rampage) when he was lead singer of the group The Boomtown Rats.
