I found this podcast show called 'Ruined by The Internet' and thought it was interesting, since we are living in interesting times, as they say?

The latest episode is titled 'Common Ground: has the internet turned a shared reality into an algorithmic battlefield?', which I thought was worth a listen ... but then again, you might disagree with me?-)

There is one particular author in Australia this year (whose books I haven't read) making waves at Writers Festivals who either ban her from them or don't, which just goes to show you that if nothing was done in the first place, how many readers or festival goers would really care about her or her book?

I just hope the Byron Writers Festival follows the Newcastle Writers Festival by not banning her (that's if she is already on the program) and not risk collapsing the festival like Adelaide did.

That's one book talk I won't be attending if she turns up in Byron, but I respect the right of people to attend the talk if they want to.
