Almond Day Falls on the Chinese New Year's Eve this Year?🐍🌑🌓🌕🌏🐎🐴

I found it a bit of a coincidence that Chinese New Year's Eve fell on the 16th of February this year, as that is the date that Almond Day falls on every year.
Every February 16th
I got up to the temple early to get a carpark, so I wouldn't have to walk a mile back to my car like last year, and to have dinner before the festivities started, and I also bought a box of Almond cookies to have a few for dessert and to take home to eat during the week.
Chinese Almond Cookies
"Almond cookies symbolize coins so people make or buy these cookies to bring good fortune."
Everything to eat at the temple grounds was Vegetarian, not that I'm Vegetarian, but everything I ate yesterday was Vegetarian.
I even bought a
Ginger honey tea, which was quite refreshing.
Who needs a front row seat when the show comes to your seat?
It's hard to get any closer to the action than that, I reckon.
This Kung-Fu school put on a good show every year, which just seems to be getting better as each year passes.
Happy New Year everybody.

UPDATE: February 17th, 2026
I'm even eating them at breakfast time with my morning coffee:-)
