Today was 'International Women’s Day' and 'I Am Day', not to mention 'National Science and Engineering Week' (AKA British Science Week),'Universal Women’s Week', 'Patient Safety Awareness Week','Women’s History Month' and 'Academy Awards Month', so what better movie could I go and see today than 'THE BRIDE!', written and directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal?!

To me this movie was a real nightmare on many levels, it could have been good, but it wasn't.

A BRIDE looking for a name through the promptings of a dead Mary Shelly who possesses her?

If anything, I think Jessie Buckley was much better in this movie than the one she has been nominated for an Oscar for, which I believe should have Rose's name engraved on it this year:-)

By the way, Rose Byrne's real first name is Mary, according to Wikipedia:-)
