Time, Use By Dates, Calendars ... and Owls?⏰🦉

I bought
a special packet of Thins potato chips last month, which were going at a discount clearance price because they were getting close to their use by date.
The flavour of the chips were Himalayan Pink Salt, but they just tasted and looked like plain salted chips to me.
It stated on the front of the packet that 10 cents from every packet bought goes to the McGrath Foundation, so I thought that was a good thing, as my mum is battling cancer again right now.
Plus, Glenn McGrath is a Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks supporter like I am, so there is that as well.
Creepy thing though is I noticed that the use by date on my packet was September 13th, which is the anniversary of my own father's passing.
On my 2025 bird calendar is a picture of an owl for the month of September, which just happens to be my birth month.
The owl is often said to be the messenger of death.
Every September 2nd
My kitchen wall calendar has a picture of a Carnival of Flowers float from the town my father was born in, which I find weird, as the calendar is meant to mainly focus on the city I was born in, of Brisbane.
I remember when I was in America earlier this year hoping to spot a real live owl in the wild, but the only owl encounter I had was with a Snowy Owl in the Oregon Zoo, when I went to see pink flamingos.
I wrote about the Oregon Zoo and the elephant in the room in my post from yesterday -
Belgian Beer Week Comes to an End This Week?🍺😵🐘🍻

The flamingos I saw at the

The Snowy Owl I saw at the Oregon Zoo on March 9th:-)
Just after I came back from America, my SIGNS watch, which I wore nearly everywhere over there, stopped working, so I had to put it into the jewelers to have the batteries changed again.
I have no idea what day my watch had stopped, but looking at the repair docket I see that I had the watch put in the day after my father's birthday.
As I'm waiting for my watch to be fixed in the jewelers, I see a bargain table that has
a golden owl keychain at half price, so I bought it.
It now hangs to the left of my computer on a hook from my computer table shelf with the other owl my son gave me years ago from a Geocache find of his.
Also, on the subject of owls, I donated my owl alarm clock to the Op Shop yesterday, as it just keeps losing time, plus I can't use the alarm function now that my younger son lives with me, as the alarm on it is too darn loud and will wake him up in his room as well if I use it to wake me up early in the mornings.
Maybe I was a bit hasty giving it away yesterday?-)
