Arthur Schopenhauer Called Life “a pendulum swinging between pain and boredom” But is That Really Life's Secret?๐Ÿ›ž๐ŸŽก♿๐Ÿฆฝ๐Ÿค”

I just watched/listened to the latest episode of 'The Observing I' podcast above after recently watching 'The Secret: Dare to Dream' movie that someone had donated a DVD of to the Op Shop I volunteer at part time.
Which I have since donated the DVD on Father's Day to a lending library cabinet which sits on the back wall of a Mt. Cotton IGA supermarket.
If life is a metaphorical pendulum swing, then I think the truth of Schopenhauer's statement lies somewhere in the centre of the swing.
And I certainly don't agree with Rhonda Byrne's "The Secret" philosophy when it comes to life.
What's "The Secret" Rhonda Byrne?
I see life more like a
roller-coaster or Ferris wheel where the ride is more or less fixed for the rider when they get on and it's just the observations they take out of the ride that matters ... or doesn't?
I'd like to go to England and ride The London Eye before my ride comes to an end ... again?
