Before 1996 the Brisbane Lions were two separate footy clubs, the Fitzroy Lions and the Brisbane Bears ... the bears being represented by a savage looking koala ... which is NOT a bear, by the way, as most Australians would know.

Ironically, the only AFL Grand Final I have been to was the 2020 GF played in my hometown of Brisbane, where the Geelong Cats lost to the Richmond Tigers.

It's going to be hard for me to sleep tonight, as my NRL team the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks season came to an end in Melbourne tonight:-(
