How to Celebrate World Doll Day?πŸͺ†πŸŽŽπŸŽ¬

Yesterday was 'Raggedy Ann and Andy Day' and today is 'World Doll Day'.
Every June 12th
Volunteering part time in an
Op Shop you get to see some creepy looking toys being donated.
Lately I've been collecting 'Toy Story' figurines people have donated to the store, with the intention of maybe passing them on to my granddaughter when she is old enough to watch and understand the
'Toy Story' movies and Disney+ shows.
I've been watching Toy Stories 1-4 in an effort to get up to speed to see 'Toy Story 5' at the cinema next week, and I realize that I have only ever seen 'Toy Story 1' and have never seen the rest as whole movies before.
Having only ever watched the Toy Stories from an adult perspective I didn't realize just how scary these movies might be for the pre-school audience that they are targeted for by companies like Pixar and Disney.
Although, it has always been my belief that these movies are really targeted to adults, just like 'The Simpsons' are.
I never knew a Lava Lamp could look so creepy until I saw 'Toy Story 1', but then again, I've never done acid or owned a Lava Lamp in my life ... so far, that is.
Obviously, these movies are aimed at the feelings of the nostalgia of growing up with certain massed produced toys and movies and ironically merchandising new toys and movies for the generations who will grow up seeing these movies with their parents and grandparents, who long for "the good old days" of the past.

Ah, the toys of yesterday ... and today ... and tomorrow:-)
Toy Story 5 | Official Trailer | In Theaters June 19
I'm sure I echo the words of grandparents throughout history when I say that "I feel sorry for the kids growing up today":-)
I might have to go and see 'Toy Story 5' at the drive-in?-)
