How to Celebrate World Franchise Day on Action Anxiety Day?πŸ’°πŸ”πŸ˜ŸπŸ’ΈπŸ€‘

This year 'World Franchise Day' falls on 'Action Anxiety Day', which I'm sure a lot of franchisees could probably relate to.
You wouldn't get me sinking my life savings into buying into a franchise, as I've heard too many financial horror stories from former owners of them.
Like 'Pie Face' for example.

Turtles All the Way Down (2024)
Having just read the
John Green novel 'Turtles All the Way Down' and watched the movie adaption, I couldn't help thinking of the '
Applebee's' and 'Chuck E. Cheese' franchises mentioned in the book and if there were any in Australia.
Although, 'Chuck E. Cheese' is changed to some fake franchise name in the movie.
I remembered there was a 'Chuck E. Cheese' type restaurant in Brisbane in the 80s, which closed down after a few years, so I looked up the company's Wikipedia page and see there is now one in Perth on the other side of the country to me-
"In 1981, the restaurant opened its first international franchise in Australia under the name Charlie Cheese's Pizza Playhouse. The name change had to do with the common meaning of the word "chuck," which in Australia is a reference to the phrase "to throw up." The first location, located in Surfer's Paradise, Queensland, relocated in 1982 to a location in Carina, Queensland, which closed by the mid-1980s. In January 2024, it was announced that Chuck E. Cheese would be making its return to Australia with a multi-unit franchise partnership with Royale Hospitality Group, and announced in March 2025 that the first location will be opening in Perth, Western Australia. In August 2025, the franchise announced the location would be opening in Joondalup, a suburb of Perth, on September 6, 2025."
Hungry Jack's opened their first store in Perth and it's still open, so if I get over to Perth, I might have to check out that store and Australia's only 'Chuck E. Cheese'.
But I won't be buying into either franchise anytime soon:-)
