I also see that tomorrow is 'National Book Lovers Day' and while I have read the majority of the books on the shelf that the American dollar note is on, I see there are still a couple of books on that shelf that I'm still yet to read.
Books and dollars also made me think of my visit to the Perth Mint last month, where special coins are minted like these Peppa Pig coins advertised on the fence of the mint.
I actually never planned to visit the Perth Mint while I was in Perth, until I picked up a pamphlet in Perth advertising that the mint had a $1,000.000 gold coin on display.
So, me and my son signed up for the tour to see this coin, which is said to hold the Guinness world record for coins.
It's said to be made out of solid gold.
It certainly was an impressive sight.
I even got to mint my own token coin that was anything but solid gold.
And I got to lift a real gold bar.I even got to mint my own token coin that was anything but solid gold.
And they even put on a show of melting a gold bar down into liquid and remaking it back into a gold bar.
