The Shaman's Heart

After reading a book that was referencing the Hemi-Sync® method of listening to various recordings you could buy, I recently downloaded The Shaman's Heart with Hemi-Sync® Album onto my iPad from the iTunes store and listened to it with headphones on and the volume right up and it was just like being in a dark cave and taking part in a shamanic ceremony.
I'm the sort of guy who tries to meditate and ends up running through the land of chocolate like Homer Simpson does when he is meant to be concentrating on something.
But with this recording my mind doesn't wander if I pretend to be taking part in the ceremony by pretending to play, or actually playing something like one of those egg shaped shakers you can buy from a music shop and keep time to the beat.
I know it sounds like that I'm on the Monroe Institute payroll and doing an info commercial for them, but believe me this is just a personal unpaid recommendation because I thought I should let others know about this method of relaxing, especially if like me you can't really get into the normal meditation methods without your mind wandering off to mentally check your to-do list.
That You Tube above I found on the net, which has some of the music on it to give you an idea of what you would be listening to, but it sounds nowhere near what it sounds like with head phones on and pumping though your iPad, or sound system.
I found it a relaxing way of getting away from the real world for forty minutes, or so.
"Shamanism is an ancient spiritual system that helps one remain "heart centered” in the face of adversity—a hallmark of spiritual maturity that Don Juan referred to as traveling "a path with a heart.”
The spellbinding shamanic stylings of Byron Metcalf, and guest artist Steve Roach, are combined with Hemi-Sync® to transport you into the infinite heart-space dimension.
For optimum results, listen to this experiential composition in one session—preferably in a darkened, meditative environment.
Instruments featured: buffalo and frame drums, hybrid toms, didgeridoo, ocarinas, udu, shamanic rattles, and percussion."
