Twin Peaks and the Two Roses?

The Veronicas' red glittered boobs seemed to have made headlines all over the world's tabloid media ... well at least in their/my hometown of Brisbane anyway.
The Veronicas went topless but were hit by a sound glitch at the 2016 ARIA Awards
I picked up a paper ... I get free ones from a betting shop that takes out the race form and then gives them away to customers, I haven't paid money for a paper since I was in Sydney ... and saw 'The Veronicas' ... well let's just say I saw the twins splashed across the page in their red glitter.
Is this post sounding a bit too tabloid in tone?
Sorry.
What hit me though, was that I had just written a post on November 22 (twin numerals too;-) about a podcast I had heard involving Rose McGowan and her movie and song video clip where ... drum roll please ... she can be seen semi-naked from the waist up with a layer of white paint covering her chest, not to mention at times her skin covered in red glitter -
#51: "THE INTERSECTION BETWEEN FILMS AND PAINTINGS" WITH DUKE JOHNSON FEAT. CASEY BAUGH + YOSHINO
Hmm ... now where have I seen
red glitter on a body before?-)
If you are not offended by a semi-naked songstress, then click on the link below to see Rose McGowan's performance -

The second Rose in this synchronicity saga is the girlfriend of one of 'The Veronica's', Ruby Rose .

Rose Red is the new orange?
Too tabloid in tone again?
Sorry.
That sub-headline under 'The Veronica's' photo kind of made me cringe.
I mean OK, a guy named "Flume" scoops the pool, as far as the awards night went, but writing a headline like "Flume on awards ride of his life" in a Queensland paper a month out from a flume ride disaster at a Queensland theme park that claimed the lives of four people ... um?
Thunder River Rapids Ride
The rapids are achieved by logs being
attached to the base of a river channel
"Riders board one of several six-person circular rafts.
The raft is dispatched and the riders travel back past the ride's queue and into a cave.
Upon exiting the cave, riders experience the main rapids section of the ride.
This section runs alongside a large water catchment which powers both the Thunder River Rapids Ride and the Rocky Hollow Log Ride
The raft then goes under the Eureka Mountain Mine Ride's station and heads back towards its own station.
Before departing the ride, guests are brought back up to the level of the station by a conveyor belt.
On 9 November, Ardent Leisure chief executive Deborah Thomas announced that the ride would be permanently closed, out of respect to the victims and their families, and that they would be invited to help create a memorial in its place."
Flume at the 2013
ARIA Music Awards
"Harley Edward Streten, better known by his stage name Flume, is an Australian record producer, musician and DJ.
His self-titled debut studio album, Flume, was released on 9 November 2012 to critical acclaim, peaking at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart and reaching double-platinum accreditation in Australia."
And then on page three there is a gruesome story of a pair drowned in a metal box by being weighted down in a Queensland lake.
I don't know why Rose McGowan's first movie as director, 'Dawn' springs to mind when I read stories like that.
Maybe I read too much into newspaper stories and pop culture?
But red/read does seem to be the new black at the moment.
What's black and white and red/read all over?
A newspaper.
