Pretzel Month Ends Tonight?🥨🍻

I can't say that I'm a real big pretzel fan, but I do tend to buy a packet or two in October when ALDI bring in the German food for Oktoberfest time.
Saturday September 20th, 2025 -
Sunday October 5th, 2025
It puzzles me why an event called the
Oktoberfest starts in mid-September and runs to the first Sunday in October.
My pretzel is nearly as big as an F1 car's steering wheel:-)
Ironically, the last
pretzel I ate this October was while I was watching the Singapore F1 race live from my Australian livingroom on October 5th, the last day of the Oktoberfest this year:-)
That was the first F1 race I have ever watched from start to finish, and it will probably be my last.

Pizza and Pescatarian Month End Tonight?🎣🐟🍕

Well, since Pizza and Pescatarian Month end tonight I decided to get a seafood pizza for dinner.
We Owe the Spread of Pizza🍕to the Catholic Church?!
Not that I'm a pescatarian, but I do like seafood and pizza:-)
Then again, it is Halloween and Vegetarian Month, so maybe I just should have had a candy pizza, or even a vegetarian candy burger tonight?-)
And I did have pizza flavoured baked beans for breakfast this morning while listening to a 'Weird Studies' podcast about a giant squid:-)

Halloween in Australia in 2025?🌏🌎🥚🤔💭

Halloween
doesn't make much sense in the southern hemisphere, as it's spring down here in Australia at the moment, so we should really be doing Easter egg hunts, not celebrating the coming of winter.
But we Aussies could say the same about most major seasonal holidays like Christmas (summer for us), Easter (autumn for us) and as for witches, they would have to flip their seasonal holiday calendar right around down here<:-)
Friday October 31st, 2025 -
Saturday November 1st, 2025
And while
Halloween isn't officially celebrated down under, you wouldn't know it from reading the newspapers and local media, or grocery shopping.
Trick or Treat ... or Surprise?🥚🐊🦓🐨
That reminds me, I need to get a new mattress:-)
It's storming right now as I write up this post, so that has to put a dampener on trick or treating in my neighbourhood, but I'm prepared for any doorknockers tonight with my Caramello Koalas ... that I may just happen to have to eat myself if no body comes knocking tonight:-)

Trick or Treat ... or Surprise?🥚🐊🦓🐨

I had been trying to get the koala in the Kinder Surprise animal egg collection on my trips to the supermarket when I do my grocery shopping, with no luck so far this year.
Apparently, there are only 16 baby animals to collect and besides the koala, and I'm still to run across the elephant and the hippo in the set, as well.
In my latest horrendous run of luck after getting my first polar bear, I got 6 straight crocodiles in a row, with that run only to be stopped by getting my third ever turtle.
I've already given away just as many
crocodiles pictured above and gave five of those six pictured above last week to a children's lucky dip bin in the Op Shop I volunteer in.
My second elephant in the vet series
Ironically, I started buying the
Kinder Surprise Joy Vet series to see what I would get and Thursday I donated my elephant to the children's lucky dip bin in the Op Shop, because the band aides kept coming unstuck, and then on the way home, I buy my third ever Kinder Surprise Joy Vet series egg to get another elephant, which will be headed to the children's lucky dip bin in the Op Shop in the egg for some lucky kid (or parent) to assemble:-)
My first elephant in the vet series
The Elephant in the Dressing Room? 🌲🌳🌲⚽🐘
Did Thomas Frank say 6-7 in that press conference after Spurs were knocked out of the League Cup this week?-)
The '6-7' Meme?🏊 67🦈
But one good thing to come out of my trip to the supermarket last Thursday was I bought two Gumi Yums and got my zebra in one of them, so it's game over for my Gumi Yum animal series egg buying days now.
The other Gumi Yum animal was the rabbit again, so that one is off to the children's lucky dip bin in the Op Shop next week as well>:-)
Rabbit Week Lasts All Month This Year?🥕🐇🐰
The first Gumi Yum rabbit I got
So, how long is it going to take me to get my f#cking Kinder Surprise baby koala ... or even a baby elephant for that matter?-)

UPDATE: NOvember 1st, 2025
Bit of a nightmare result for the Sky Blues on Halloween at the hands feet of Wrexham, which I'm sure will make the next season of their Disney+ soap opera:-)

The Devil Archetype: A Jungian Analysis for Halloween?😇😈👻

I listened to the latest 'This Jungian Life' podcast this morning, which was October 31st in Australia where I live, because we are almost a day ahead of most parts of America on this side of the planet, so it's already Halloween here, even though in the southern hemisphere where Australia is, it's springtime, not autumn right now.
Having just watched the latest
'The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror episode this week, which features "The Devil" (a mythical figure that I don't believe in) in a piss take of one of my favourite modern horror movies 'Late Night with The Devil', which I wrote a post about when I saw it at the cinema -
Late Night with the Devil ... and Owls?🌃🦉😈😇
I thought how funny it was that 'South Park' and 'The Simpsons' both feature "The Devil" on their shows in October:-)
