But I still saw birds standing on the side of the road looking like they were waiting for a taxi to pick them up, as my son drove me to the cinema to see 'The Drama' today.
I saw a curlew and a plover standing on separate street corners, which would have made for great photos, but my phone was switched off so I couldn't accidentally bum dial anyone because it was in my jeans pocket.
You would think with all the rain that I would have spotted some rainbow lorikeets today, but I didn't:-)
