Synchromysticism

" Synchromysticism:
The art of realizing meaningful coincidence in the seemingly mundane with mystical or esoteric significance."

Are You Winking at Me?

I just finished reading When God Winks At You and I have to admit that I was drawn to it's cover with the one blue taxi amongst all the yellow taxis.
I've written about my blue car dream here-
Blue Cars Too
and I've written about SQuire's other book here -
Behind the Door at Byron Bay
Now I find another connection to the Byron Bay sync while
reading When God Winks At You.
I was in Byron Bay for the Writer's Festival only because
James Redfield was going to be there.
Unfortunately he got bitten by a spider in The States and couldn't fly over, but it was too late for me, I had booked everything for the Writer's Festival and would have lost money by not going.
Now Redfield is the author of The Celestine Prophesy and on page 36 of When God Winks At You SQuire relates how -
"years before in Australia Judith Curr became a star in the publishing circles by launching an unknown book called
The Celestine Prophesy - all about coincidence."
Judith was the president of a new Simon & Schuster imprint, Atria Books and was instrumental in getting SQuire's first book out there.
One of my favourite  stories in the book is the one on page 64
(I was born in 1964) called A Yellow Sea Of Taxis, which tells about how
Hurricane Sandy makes a sea of Yellow Taxis
while I was reading "
God Winks"?!
"Actress Diane Lane learned the power of god-winks to lift her spirits the day she traveled to the Charlie Rose TV studio for an interview and was shocked by what greeted her."
Watch SQuire tell it here at the link below -

The reason I liked it was because my father was a cab driver too, but his number was 424.
I also thought it was weird when I saw the picture of the
Yellow Taxis in New York flooded by the effects of Hurricane Sandy, while I was in the middle of reading SQuire's book.
I'm now reading Tim Freke's book How Long Is Now? and I went to his website last night to check out some videos of Tim and came across this one - The Mystery Experience.
http://www.themysteryexperience.com/mystery-experience/
And if you see how long the clip runs for it is 4:24, my dad's old cab number.
Here's another clip of Tim about the book of his that I am reading -
The taxi pictures here also reminded me of this photo from Neil Kramer's website -  http://neilkramer.com/the-construct.html

  2. Wow, this is a fascinating series of synchros. That photo of the drowned cabs struck me, too, but for you it's a terrific synchro.

    Yeah,the book is worth reading.
I think you will like it,even though it does carry SQuire's Christian slant...which didn't bother me too much. It's the stories themselves that matter.

I guess that you also read the post I decided to pull after thinking twice about it.-)
I was in a black mood when I wrote it and just had to have a dig at two bloggers who I at first respected, but have come to see as aloof narcissists with their heads stuck up a certain body part of theirs, especially MC.-)
