Lifecycles and David Attenborough?๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿ”๐Ÿชฆ๐Ÿ‘ป

I stumbled upon a secondhand children's book about the life of Sir David Attenborough with a drawing of a young Sir Dave holding a butterfly on the front cover of the book, and I thought that this book would make a good book to give my granddaughter as her birthday present, as my cousin's granddaughter lives next door to Sir David Attenborough working as a nanny for his neighbour's children, and she often goes for walks and bike rides with Sir David Attenborough I'm told by my mother, who was told to her by my cousin.
So, I thought this would make a good book to give to my newborn granddaughter as a way of telling her when she is old enough, and when maybe both I and Sir Dave's "lifecycles" have come to an end(?), that a distant relative of her's actually went for walks with his man on the other side of the world.
Unfortunately, whoever bought the book the first time round seemed to have a similar idea about giving the book to their grandchild, and I didn't spot the handwritten note until after I had bought the book.
But then I thought that it was still kind of cool, but a bit sad that the previous owner of the book would give such a present from their grandparents away to an Op Shop for a stranger to buy.
So, I wrote a handwritten message to my granddaughter under the previous owner's grandparent's message, and wondered if in time whether my present would meet a similar fate?-)
Moth or Butterfly?๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿ”
I was also going to give my son these "lifecycle" discs pictured below to give my granddaughter for when she is old enough but knowing his decluttering habits they would be likely given away before then, so I gave them away to a street library on Saturday, after me and his brother saw a movie.
Hopefully, I'll get to take her to the butterfly house on Bribie Island when she is old enough.
And the funny thing was that
the movie ('Heretic') we saw on Saturday, after dropping off our presents to my son and his partner and seeing my granddaughter in the flesh for the first time, begins and ends with a butterfly/moth pretty much:-)
