I saw the sad news this morning that Fats Domino has passed away in the month of the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima.
Fats Domino: Rock 'n' roll pioneer behind hits Blueberry Hill, Ain't It a Shame dead at 89
"After some newspapers reported that the Virgin Mary had promised a miracle for the last of her apparitions on 13 October, a huge crowd, possibly between 30,000 and 100,000, including reporters and photographers, gathered at Cova da Iria.
What happened then became known as the "Miracle of the Sun"."
And I found the clip above of Fats singing Lady Madonna (1968), which somehow seems to go with the month that he passed away in.
Oddly enough, I had written a post about mothers and Our Lady of Fatima last night (we are a day ahead of the USA in Australia, if the dates in my posts are confusing to some readers) before going to bed.

Bad Mother Month?
I'm going to have to get a copy of 'Goin' Home' which celebrates its 10-year anniversary in 2017.
Looks like Tom Petty and Fats Domino have some catching up to do.
Rest in peace guys ... and keep the music down up there;-)

Song 2 on the album is by another singer who passed away this month also, Tom Petty |
