Going Up Daisy Hill Road on National Upsy Daisy Day?πŸŒ„πŸ¨

Last Sunday was 'National Upsy Daisy Day', and I spent all morning thinking that maybe I should celebrate the day by heading up Daisy Hill Road to visit the Koala Centre, since I had cheated Death the day before -

How to Celebrate National Upsy Daisy Day?
Doh! I missed the tours because I wasn't up here early enough;-)
That little voice in my head on Sunday kept nagging me to go up and visit the Koala Centre because if nothing else it would make a great post for my overseas and interstate readers to read, and to look at the pictures of the park at the top of the hill, which to my shame I have only visited about 4 times in my lifetime, so far.
It took me until about 3 o'clock to convince myself to go up Daisy Hill on
'National Upsy Daisy Day', and the centre closes at 4:-)
I can't even remember the last time I was up here, and now I live even closer to this park.
There are only two koalas up here in the centre that I could see, but it's free for the general public and tourists, but maybe not for us rate payers who live around the hill;-)
But I don't mind, as it's good to see my money being put to good use.
Funny thing about it being
'National Upsy Daisy Day' is that koalas sleep for most of the day:-)
So, the koala wouldn't make a good mascot for
'National Upsy Daisy Day'.
And these koalas pictured below look rather stuffed, to use an Aussie expression;-)
Koalas aren't the only creatures housed up on the Hill, besides staff members and tourists, there is also a colony of stingless bees.
So, I was wondering if this place qualifies as a zoo, rather than just a Koala Centre?-)
Every June
Sunday was also '
World Oceans Day' and I was going to drive to the closest beach area closest to where I live, and that would be Redland Bay if I could drive in a straight line ... which I can't.
Maybe Victoria Point as far as roads go.
And that's where I was the day before when I drove to the cinema, so I wasn't going do that drive again on Sunday.
Plus, I don't live in Victoria Point, so what right do I have to dip my toe in the ocean there?-)
