Love Your Burial Ground Week ... or Maybe Your Final Destination Week?πŸͺ¦πŸ‘»πŸ‘€

I wrote a post about seeing the movie 'Final Destination: Bloodlines' on Saturday, because I couldn't make it/didn't want to go to the drive-in to see it on Friday night -
First Friday of June
There's the Doughnut and There is the Hole, and You Should Keep Your Eye on the Donut?πŸ©πŸ‘“πŸ‘€πŸ•³πŸ‡
Every June 6th
And apart from Saturday being 'National Chocolate Ice Cream Day', I saw that it was the start of 'Love Your Burial Ground Week', so after the movie I stopped off to visit the graveyard I always pass when heading to and from the cinema.
I'm not a Lutheran, even though I was married in a Lutheran church and some of my German ancestors are, and this isn't really my local burial ground, but it's close enough.
I like to visit graveyards from time to time and read the headstones of the people buried below -
Who Are You 2?
I was particularly taken in by this grave below with the polished stone reflecting the sky above.
Some of the graves are that old that it is hard to read who is buried in them.
This grave with the angel drew me in to take a closer look, and to see that the person buried here died on September 13th was a bit too close to home for me, as that's the date my father passed away on.
Then I drove home and took a bottle of
Yellow sparkling wine out of the fridge to celebrate another day of cheating death, and because it was '
National Bubbly Day'.
First Saturday in June
Then I sat down and turned on the
TV to watch my NRL team The Sharks get killed by The Warriors:-(
Cheers!
