I saw some six packs of Wrexham Lager for sale at my local liquor supermarket and grabbed a pack thinking I had never tasted Welsh beer before and how I could drink them as I catch up on the latest season of 'Welcome to Wrexham' now that I have a subscription to Disney+ again, after giving NETFLIX the flick once more.
But on closer inspection when I was reading the fine print on the back of the Wrexham Lager bottle, I found out that this beer is brewed in Australia under licence from Wrexham Lager and that it is a mid-strength beer.
Read the f#ckin' label properly Darren, before you buy the beer, I've told myself more than once now.
I'm not a fan of mid-strength beers unless I'm driving and need to stay under the legal driving limit.
Today [April 6th] is New Beer’s Eve?π¦πΊπ»π₯³πI had been drinking Tiger Beer in preparation for my trip to Singapore this year, but I found out the brewery doesn't do tours to the public anymore, since 2023:-(
Tiger Beer is still one of my favourite beers though.
Maybe I'll have to go to Wrexham and have a Fosters, an Australian beer that hardly anyone drinks over here;-)
The message on the 'Beer Day Britain' official site says - Celebrate Britain’s national alcoholic drink and spread beery love throughout the land by joining the National Cheers To Beer at 7pm (19.00h) on June 15th as millions of people across the country raise a glass, say ‘Cheers to Beer’ and post a message on social media with the hashtag #CheersToBeer.
But since I live in Australia, and Britain is about 9-hours behind Australia, I'm calling Cheers at 7pm Aussie time.
Not at 4am my time.
"The Owl is Like an Alarm Clock ..." Mike Clellandπ¦⏰Cheers.
