I found a June newspaper from last year in my cupboard that had a picture of Bindi Irwin's little girl Grace Warrior holding a turtle named after her grandfather Steve and great grandfather Bob.
But it was a freshwater turtle, not a sea turtle.
I've had a post titled 'See Turtles All the Way Down?ππ’' in my draft file since June last year, where I was going to write something about turtles and that photo in the paper of Grace holding the turtle, and the I Ching, because the I Ching started by people reading the cracks in turtle shells -
Precursor to the I Ching: Cracks in a Turtle Shell?
I think I was also going to mention something about 'World Sea Turtle Day', too, but I can't remember exactly what I was going to write now.
I was also going to write something about the book I came across in the Op Shop called 'Turtles All the Way Down' and about the movie, but I still haven't read the book or seen the movie, even though the trailer looks interesting.
So, I might have to consult the I Ching (using coins, not turtle shells) to see if I'll have that post written by next June, or whether I should just bin it.
I should mention here I guess, that I grabbed a Kinder Surprise at the supermarket checkout on 'Alligator Day' this year and took it home and opened it in front of my son, saying, "hey, look I've got my first ever croc and I think today is Crocodile Day."

I was still impressed, if he wasn't, although I think he kinda was;-)
And yesterday I got my third lion cub -
