How to Celebrate Matariki?πŸŒŸπŸ”πŸ‘€

Friday June 20th, 2025
"Matariki is a special time in New Zealand when the night sky lights up with the Pleiades star cluster. This event marks the beginning of the Māori New Year, and people across the country come together to reflect, plan, and enjoy the beauty of the stars.
The celebrations hold deep meaning, reminding everyone of the connection between the land,
the stars, and their ancestors. It’s a time to pause, remember, and look forward."
Every June 21st
"Matariki takes place in mid-winter from late May to early July. The dates vary according to tribes and geography.
In
2025, Matariki falls on 19–22 June, marking the reappearance of the constellation. Matariki will be marked by a public holiday on Friday 20 June.
The best time to view the
Matariki cluster is early morning, just before dawn."

Matariki just happens to fall on Brian Wilson's birthday this year ... and on a personal note, my eldest son's birthday:-)
