A Room with a View? 🏩👀

Room with a View by E.M. Forster

I had not read the book or watched the 1985 movie of the book 'A Room with a View' until this year.

And I didn't realize that the movie turns 40 this year, until reading about the movie and the book on Wikipedia.

'A Room with a View' is one of the 1001 books that I must read before I die books, so I listened to it on a free Apple Podcast audio, while watching the movie that someone had uploaded for free on You Tube. 

The movie has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which I can't argue with after having watched it.

And now I say to my youngest son, who has booked all of our hotel rooms for our upcoming American trip, "I hope they all have views":-)

And it's kind of sad watching the film in 2025, knowing how many of the actors in that movie have passed and how they passed, especially the recent passings of Maggie Smith and the really tragic passing of Julian Sands.

My next book to read before I die in chronological order going forward through the 1001 books is also by E.M. Forster, 'Howard's End' and I guess I'll have to try and watch the 1992 movie, which I have not seen before.
