Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, Poetry is Not for Me, but is it for You? ðŸŒđðŸĨ€

After watching the TV series and reading the book 'PLUM' I couldn't help but think of the C.D. Lewis poem 'Walking Away', which inspired me to pick up my book of C.D. Lewis poems (which doesn't include that poem) and see if I could get back into it.
I dislike poetry as much as I love football, I realized after watching and reading PLUM.
You Can't Judge a Book by its Cover ... Especially if it's a Movie/TV Series Tie-in Cover?📕👍👀👎
I never realized until last week that the Daniel Day Lewis movie 'There Will Be Blood' was based partly on Upton Sinclair's novel 'Oil!'.
Daniel is the second child of Cecil Day-Lewis (19041972) and his second wife, actress Jill Balcon (19252009).
I've not read
'Oil!', but I did recently read Upton Sinclair's novel 'The Jungle' -
I found a podcast about poems called 'Read Me a Poem' when looking for a reading of 'Walking Away'.
'60 Yard Pass'
And thought to myself I bet there are no Charles Bukowski poems to be found here, but there were quite a few and I wondered if the anonymous requester of '60 Yard Pass' wasn't my old Sharkie mate Brendan Cowell?
I've got a feeling that someone with his love of poetry would be a regular to this site.
Nirvana” by Charles Bukowski
Nobody but you” by Charles Bukowski
Maybe I should just shut up about my disliking of poetry and go watch some football?-)
