'Walking Away' comes from the 1962 collection 'The Gate', so that poem in the You Tubes above wasn't from my C.Day Lewis book of poems from 1943-1947.

I was going to give this C.Day Lewis book away with a bunch of other books that I did give away, including Paul Kelly's CD of Shakespeare's sonnets, but I thought I would hold on to it and give all of the poems a read first and then if I didn't want to keep the book, mail it to a specialist secondhand bookshop where some reader might appreciate it more than me or someone who picked up the book for free in a neighbourhood book lending library -

While I have tried to get into poetry through reading excellent books like 'Saved by a Poem' by Kim Rosen, which even came with a CD in the back of various poems being read by various people, poetry is just not my bag.

I do like watching movies though, but do find actors as weird as poets when it comes to real life;-)
