A Fatal Shark Attack at Woorim Beach?🌊🦈

While I have never swum in the ocean at Woorim Beach I have spent quite a bit of time walking the beach on many occasions, so this news of a young lifesaver being taken by a shark there yesterday hits home pretty hard.
Teenage lifesaver killed by shark at Bribie Island
The reason I don't swim at any beach is because of my fear of being taken by a shark or drowning in a rip ... like I nearly once did at the Gold Coast in my teens.
And yes, I know the odds of being taken by a shark are lotto odds ... that's if life is truly random ... which it's not, I believe.
Here One Moment?⏰πŸ—“⌛
I've been reading Liane Moriarty's novel 'Here One Moment' before I head off on a series of plane flights across the Pacific Ocean and America.
One Month Until I'm in Vegas with The Sharks? πŸŽ²πŸˆπŸ‰πŸ¦ˆ
I picked it up off my bedside table the other day when I heard that 67 people were killed in the Washington D.C. air collision, thinking that doesn't sound like a good sign for me personally?
I've just gotta hope that my "guardian angel" doesn't throw me under the airbus or have any other plans for my demise while I'm away from home.
But who knows when your number is going to come up, and under what circumstances?
And would you want to know anyway?
It's Not the Number of Moments That Make Up Life ...?
The next SIGN I read after the

But the game of life certainly seems like a cruel one from an earthbound soul's POV.
And this tragic news story yesterday about a fatal shark attack just reinforces my fear of going for a dip in the ocean.
The last time I was at Woorim was in 2021, and I wrote about that day trip in this old post -
