Synchro-Mystic River? ⼮🏊⚓

I just watched
'Mystic River' for the first time in my life today after seeing that it was Sean Penn's birthday today. not to mention that it was his ex's Madonna's birthday the day before (the date Elvis passed away on).
Beyond the Matrix in Elvis Week? 🎤🎢
Fri Aug 8th, 2025 - Sat Aug 16th, 2025
Penn was born August 17th, 1960
Madonna was born on August 16, 1958
I've got to say that I have never been interested in watching 'Mystic River' before this year.
My youngest son Sean told me when we were in America this year that Boston was the city that most reminded him of our hometown Brisbane more than any other American city that he had been to.
I thought WTF?
I don't see that from the movies I have watched about Boston.
But I haven't been to Boston, so I thought I should reserve judgement until I've been there to do my own assessment between the two cities.
Which may never happen for me?
Although, I would like to visit the Boston Walburgers stores in the city.
Every August 17th
Today also happens to be
Massachusetts Day.
"The Mystic River is a 7.0-mile-long (11.3 km) river in Massachusetts. In the Massachusett language, missi-tuk means "large estuary", alluding to the tidal nature of the Mystic River. The resemblance to the English word mystic is a coincidence, which the colonists followed."
Rays
are a key plot point in the movie, by the way.
This film reminds me of how a certain self-professed ex-Boston "Synchromystic" can't connect the dots properly in his colouring-in book when it comes to life's events, as amusing as that dot connecting can be to readers of their blog posts:-)
I notice that
'Mystic River' is 2:17 hours long, which reminds me of another movie I've seen recently and that features the number 217 for some reason -
