Mythical Sea Creatures Both Good and Bad?🌊♆🦁

I just spent time in Singapore where the official mascot of the country is the Merlion, a mythical creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish.
According to the Wikipedia site" Its name combines "mer", meaning the sea, and "lion". The fish body represents Singapore's origin as a fishing village when it was called Temasek, which means "sea town" in Javanese. The lion head represents Singapore's original nameSingapura—meaning "lion city" or "kota singa"."
When I bought a cup from
Starbucks and a knockoff Starbucks like cup with the Merlion replacing the Starbucks siren over there, I couldn't help thinking of my mad old mate Chris Knowles and his obsession with the Starbucks siren and mermaids in general:-)
And with Knowles fear of all things Fraser, I had to laugh when I read "The symbol was designed by Alec Fraser-Brunner, a member of the Souvenir Committee and curator of the Van Kleef Aquarium, for the logo of the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) in use from 26 March 1964 to 1997 and has been its trademarked symbol since 20 July 1966. Although the STB changed their logo in 1997, the STB Act continues to protect the Merlion symbol."
A few t-shirts I bought back from Singapore
H. P. Lovecraft's birthday Aug 20th, 1890
I find it amusing that today is H.P. Lovecraft's birthday, which makes him a Leo:-)
And wouldn't you know it, Chris Knowles is right into H.P.'s works:-)

Especially,
Cthulhu.
I also thought it was personally amusing that my favourite AFL team is the Brisbane Lions and my favourite NRL team is the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.
If I combined the two creatures, I'd have a lion's head on a shark's body:-)
Also, when it comes to so called "Synchromystics", Jake Kotze who goes by the name of SEALLION wins hands down in my book.
