Mayfair Lands on May 8 This Year?🎆

Every May 8th

I went up to the local Catholic school 'Mayfair' to check out the fireworks tonight and attempted to buy some food but gave up on the long slow-moving lines i got stuck in, while the 8 o'clock deadline for the fireworks approached.

I really had my mind and stomach set on buying a potato slinky.

But I realized that that was never going to happen when I got in the line for one with half an hour before the fireworks were set to launch:-(

I missed the fair last year, but wrote about going in 2024 in this old post -

This year I couldn't help thinking back to my post at the beginning of the week where on May 4th a fireworks factory blew up in China killing and injuring a lot of people -

I might have gone home hungry from 'Mayfair' but at least I had a cupcake or two still left to eat and some red wine to drink:-)
