Strange Days Indeed
I never realized at the time I wrote that post that rjciccone's You Tube was about a message in the inner loop when played backwards.

"The Beatles "Sgt. Pepper's Inner Groove" from the mono UK Parlophone LP, 1967 -- first played normal forwards for a little over a minute ... then I hit the reverse button, then it plays backwards for another minute.
If you listen closely, you might be able to hear the dog whistle that precedes the inner groove weirdness.
As many Beatles fans know, this 'inner groove' is found on the UK 'Sgt Pepper's' LP (after the last track on side two, "A Day in the Life"), and not the American one.

It first appeared in the US as one of the tracks on the 'Rarities' album in 1980.
Exactly what message lies within this inner groove?
Exactly what message lies within this inner groove?
Forwards, it could be "Lucy Annie all the way" ... "never could be any other way" or any number of interpretations.
Backwards however, many speculate it is one of the "Paul is Dead" clue: "Will Paul be back as Superman?" ... or could be a nasty message "We'll f--k you like Superman"?"
Personally, I always thought the loop was in reference to their last gloomy song on the track titled 'A Day in the Life', where a character "blew his mind out in the car", which could mean literally blew his mind out with a gun.
"Never could see any other..."(way?)
And while the guy who uploaded the You Tube seems to think the loop when played backwards sounds like, "We'll f--k you like Superman".
To me it sounds like they are singing, "We'll f#cking like you Superman".
Damn those Beatles and their backward messages, no wonder I saw the movie 'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' three times at the cinema last year, and bought the DVD of the movie, but then I... "Never could see any other..."(way?);-)
