Carrie plays a ghost named Eve in the TV movie 'It's Christmas Carol'.
"It's Christmas, Carol!, an adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, premiered on the Hallmark Channel on November 18, 2012.
"One day, Sebastian finds Mia at work and decides to take her out to a jazz bar, explaining his intense love for jazz and his aspirations of running his own jazz bar, as well as reinforcing her passion as an actress.
It follows Carol (Emmanuelle Vaugier), a bitter workaholic, that gets a wake up call from her deceased boss, Eve (Carrie Fisher).
Eve appears as the three different ghosts of Christmas (Past, Present, Future).
In the end, Carol realizes what she'd lost over the years and changes her ways."
This clip linked below is quite spooky in hindsight of what happened this year -

I wrote about Carrie Fisher being born on the 21st of October, 1956, the 21st of October being known to movie nerds as 'Back to the Future' Day -

But then on Christmas Day George Michael, a guy who had a massive Christmas hit with the song 'LAst Christmas' also passes away from a heart attack.

They begin to warm up to each other ("City of Stars").
Sebastian asks her out to a screening of Rebel Without a Cause at a local theater, and she accepts. While getting ready for her date with Sebastian, Greg (Finn Wittrock), the man she has been seeing for the last month, shows up for a scheduled date.
Mia is embarrassed and goes on the double date with Greg and his brother (who is visiting from out of town), blowing off Sebastian.
However, she feels out of place at dinner with Greg and abruptly leaves to rush to the theater, managing to find Sebastian just as the film starts.
After the projector jams, Mia and Sebastian finish their date at the Griffith Observatory and dance ("Planetarium")."
Carrie Fisher's mother Debbie Reynolds passed away on December 28th, which also happens to be John Legend's birthday.

John Legend also stars in 'La La Land'.
Everything is connected it seems.

I'm sure I could keep going further down this synchromystic Christmas rabbit hole, but I'm going to end it here with a tribute to Richard Adams, author of 'Watership Down' who passed away on Christmas eve, 2016.
