Trump Gearing Up New War On Weed |
And as much as I like alcohol, I had to agree with the Young Turks that booze is a far more dangerous drug than Pot to the community and then I see this story come through from New Orleans -
New Orleans: At least 28 injured after vehicle ploughs into parade crowd
"Police Chief Michael Harrison said there was a suspect in custody and while he did not strictly rule out terrorism as a motive, he said police suspected the driver was "highly intoxicated".
Mayor Mitch Landrieu in a statement referred to the suspect as a "drunk driver".
Twenty-one people were hospitalised after the crash, with five victims in serious condition.
Seven others declined to be hospitalised, city emergency services director Jeff Selder said."
So, what is Trump trying to say if he does overturn the new state laws on Pot, that Pot is bad, but booze is fine?
I think Donald might want to mull that one over before he acts on those laws.
Oddly enough, I just finished reading 'A Confederacy of Dunces' today and that novel is set in New Orleans, as well.
