Father of Actors Owen and Luke Wilson Dies at 76

Sad and ironic news today of the passing of Owen Wilson's father in the year that Owen stars in the upcoming movie 'Bastards' where the tagline is "Are you our daddy?".

"Robert A. Wilson, father of actors Luke, Owen and Andrew Wilson, and a landmark public television station executive who introduced "Monty Python's Flying Circus" to its first American audience, has died in Dallas. 
He was 76.
Luke Wilson told The Dallas Morning News that his father died Friday after years of fighting Alzheimer's disease."
One of the Monty Python gang has Alzheimer's disease now, as well.

I certainly know the heartbreak of watching a father slowly go downhill with Alzheimer's disease, it certainly isn't a dignified way to go.
My thoughts are with Owen and his brothers at this time, as apart from watching your dad die from this awful disease the thought of having half the genes of your father's plays on your mind as to whether we will be heading down the same future path at some point in our own life.
