US Army photographer Hilda Clayton captures moment explosion kills her, four Afghan soldiers
I saw the above chilling news story yesterday where the US Army released a photo taken by a 22 year-old army photographer in 2013 who died along with the guys in the photo just after she had taken it.
Specialist Clayton was 22 when she was killed while photographing the training exercise.
I couldn't help thinking of the J. Geils Band song 'Freeze-Frame' when I saw that picture.
"...Snapshot image froze without a sound
Thursday morning was a hot flash-factor
Her face still focused in my mind..."
I guess that photo is a reminder that we never know when our last moment is coming...but it is coming, so we should seize every moment and make the most of our life while we can.
