Unveiling the Enigma of The White Peacock?πŸ¦šπŸ“–πŸ€”

The White Peacock the first novel by D. H. Lawrence, published in 1911.
It's not one of the 1001 books I was told I had to read before I died, but Sons and Lovers (1913) (a book I hated) and The Rainbow (1915) were two of DHL's books I was told I must read, which I have ... well, listened to through free Apple Podcasts, and I'm told I must read his Women in Love (1920) (can't wait to read that one ... not!) and Lady Chatterley's Lover (1928) before I die.
The White Peacock - DH Lawrence
And while I don't suggest
The White Peacock should be included in any 1001 Books You Have to Read books, I didn't mind this book with DHL's descriptions of all the birdlife in it.
I only read ... well, listened to the book, because I had bought a
2025 bird calendar that had a picture of a white peacock for the month of December:-)
