"The feather in your image is most likely from a Tawny Frogmouth [Owl?]? πŸΈπŸ¦‰πŸ‘½πŸ›Έ

I found this
weird looking (to me anyway) feather on the ground next to my wheelie bins in the morning on the weekend when I went out to put some trash into my recycling bin.
If you have regularity read this blog, then you will know I love birds, but have never seen an
owl in the wild as much as I have actively tried doing so.
Mainly because my old owl mate in America, Mike Clelland (AKA The Owl Guy), who I like to believe[?] has been a friend to me over the years (I'm the guy who comments as Brisdaz ... do a search in his blog search engine for the name Brisdaz) is right into owls, but I just can't seem to find one in the wild, no matter how hard I try to find one in the wild, or better, for one to find me in the wild.
But does a Tawny Frogmouth count ... that's if I ever see one of those in the wild ... as an owl?
Tawny frogmouth
"In the past, it was sometimes mistakenly called a mopoke or mopawk, a name used for the Australian boobook, the call of which is often confused with that of the tawny frogmouth."

So, is the Tawney Owl going to be the flying koala like trickster who likes to have a laugh with me like the kookaburra's already do?

I think that the universe sends you the right bird at the right time for your particular journey.
Looking at that Tawney Frogmouth sticker above and thinking how much it reminds me of a kookaburra, makes me wonder if the universe isn't saying to me how much I take my visits from kookaburras for granted.
I missed this bird so much when I left Australia this year to visit the USA and then Singapore, because these birds have been so much a part of my life, having a laugh along with me on many occasions and most mornings, that I take them for granted, like most Aussies do.
I'll bet the owl guy has never had a laugh with a kookaburra;-)
He who laughs last laughs the loudest, and kookaburras always seem to have the last laugh on me, which I see as a lesson from the universe on most days ... unless I'm trying to sleep in ... or have a hangover ... which is still a lesson for me, I guess?
Crazy Cute - Tawny Frogmouth Poster
I find it ironic that an artist named KJ Swan has a picture of a tawney frogmouth for sale at their site:-)
Which makes me wonder if I should buy it?
WHO knows if I don't, right?
