I don't see myself as a superstitious person, but people's belief in various superstitions fascinate me.
I like how in that 'Why Files' video at the top of this post it is explained that getting out of the wrong side of the bed is the lefthand side of the bed, because the left hand was/is associated with the devil.
I keep a lot of books on that side of the room, too:-)
Books and Superstitions?I do have my religious art (not that I see myself as a religious person) on the left side of my bedroom coincidently, including my Serenity Prayer scroll:-)
I bought a packet of Lucky Charms breakfast cereal before I went to America, because a local variety store had imported some stock from America and were selling the boxes for $12 (Australian) and I bought a packet wondering why this cereal was so popular in America. When I was doing some shopping in an ALDI supermarket in Burbank, California this year, bought a packet of Lucky Charms earrings thinking they were a set of charms until I got to the cash registers, but decided to buy them anyway and give them away when I got back to Australia.I also bought this Happy St. Patrick's Day window gel cling at the same ALDI store in America, as I knew I had a six-pack of Guinness in my cupboard at home to throw in the fridge and would be back in Brisbane the day before St. Patrick's Day.

Coincidently March 17th, 2025 (St. Patrick's Day) just happened to be my first day back at work after returning from America and a woman I work with handed out a four-leaf clover in a green bag containing an Irish blessing to all the staff that were working with her on St. Patrick's Day:-)
I've pinned the clover to my Sharks scarf hanging on my hat stand on the right side of my bed.
And I placed my Irish blessing on the bookshelf next to my football teams' badges.

I had a bowl of Lucky Charms at our Seattle hotel buffet breakfast just before going on a tour of the Seattle Seahawks stadium this year, so I hope that was lucky for the season ahead, considering that today is 'National Football Day'.
