I haven't read any of the 6 shortlisted books pictured above for this year's Booker Prize and I doubt that I will anytime soon.

I've read a few Booker Prize winning books over the years and found them to be generally a mixed bag when it comes to good to boring reads.
I see that Kiran Desai has finally written her follow up novel to her 2006 Booker Prize winner 'The Inheritance of Loss' and is shortlisted to possibly win the 2025 Booker Prize with her new novel 'The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny'.
I only read her first book because it was one of '1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die', as I wrote about in this old post -
