How to Celebrate Book Award Week During National Novel Writing Month?✍πŸ“–πŸ€”πŸ’πŸ†πŸ’°πŸ€‘

November seems like a busy time for authors and readers alike.
I haven't read any of the 6 shortlisted books pictured above for this year's Booker Prize and I doubt that I will anytime soon.
The Booker Prize gets awarded today and I recently wrote a post about reading the 2003 Booker Prize winning book here -
DBC Pierre, born in South Australia
I've read a few Booker Prize winning books over the years and found them to be generally a mixed bag when it comes to good to boring reads.
I see that
Kiran Desai has finally written her follow up novel to her 2006
Booker Prize winner 'The Inheritance of Loss' and is shortlisted to possibly win the 2025 Booker Prize with her new novel 'The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny'.
I only read her first book because it was one of '1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die', as I wrote about in this old post -
Colonial and Post Colonial Stories and Just Who Do We Think We Are?✍πŸ“–πŸ€”
Two decades later, Booker Prize
 winner Kiran Desai returns
It will be interesting to see if Kiran can win the 2025 Booker Prize today.
Monday November 3rd, 2025 -
Sunday November 9th, 2025
Children's Book Week came to an end yesterday I see, and I also see that there will be a Children's Booker Prize from 2027.
So many books to read and so little time?
